95.3 Jesus Is The Light For All The Nations

(Matthew 4:12-16)

When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he went away to Galilee. He did not stay in Nazareth, but went to live in Capernaum, a town by lake Galilee, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali, This was done to make come true what the prophet Isaiah had said, "Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, on the road to the sea, on the other side of the Jordan, Galilee, land of the Gentiles! The people who live in darkness will se a great light. On those who live in the dark land of death the light will shine."

95.2 He Is The Lord Of All Nations And Will Save His People

(Isaiah 43:9-13)

"Summon the nations to come to the trial. Which of their gods can predict the future?
Which of them foretold what is happening now?
Let these gods bring in their witnesses to prove that they are right, to testify to the truth of their words.

"People of Israel, you are my witnesses; I chose you to be my servant, so that you would know me and believe in me and understand that I am the only God,
Besides me there is no other god; there never was and never will be.

"I alone am the Lord, the only one who can save you. I predicted what would happen, and then I came to your aid. no foreign god has never done this; you are my witnesses. I am God and always will be. No one can escape from my power; no one can change what I do."

95.1 All People Shall Receive The Spirit

(Joel 2:28-32)

"Afterward I will pour out my spirit on everyone: your sons and daughters will proclaim my message; your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions.
All that time I will pour out my spirit even on servants, both men and women.

"I will give warnings of that day in the sky and on the earth; there will be bloodshed, fire, and clouds of smoke. The sun will be darkened, and the moon will turn red as blood before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.
But all who ask the Lord for help will be saved. As the Lord has said, "Some in Jerusalem will escape: those whom I choose will survive.'"

94.5 Norms Of Life

(Psalms 101)

My song is about loyalty and justice, and I sing it to you, O Lord.
My conduct will be faultless. When will you come to me?

I will live a pure in my house and will never tolerate evil.
I hate the actions of those who turn away from God;
I will have nothing to do with them. I will not be dishonest and will have no dealings with evil.
I will get rid of anyone who whispers evil things about someone else;
I will not tolerate of those who are faithful to God and will let them live in my palace.
Those who are completely honest will be allowed to serve me.

No liar will live in my place; no hypocrite will remain in my presence.
Day after day I will destroy the wicked in our land; I will expel all evil men from the city of the Lord.

94.4 Make Every Effort To Preserve Unity

(Ephesians 4:1-6)

I urge you, then- I who am a prisoner because I serve the Lord: live a life that measures up to the standard God set when he called you. Be always humble, gentle, and patient. Show your love by being tolerant with one another. Do your best to preserve the unity which the Spirit gives by means of the peace that binds you together. There is one body and one Spirit, just as there is one hope  to which God has called you. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism; there is one God and Father of all mankind, who is Lord of all, works through all, and is in all.
